Love these diptychs. Have just been looking at the Luke Fowler book and it is stunning (plus I recognise quite a few of the people).

I like his idea of tiny films of only two frames. Thesis + antitheses with the synthesis imagined by the viewer I suppose.

The Harvie Ferguson text is also extremely sensitive ... I just wish it was easier to read.

I heard Robert Forster's Strawberries on the radio the other day and knew immediately that you'd love it. What a coincidence.

Dear Jon,

I would feel pretty much as an imposter writing a comment that reiterates ideas we've already exchanged. I am very thrilled to enter this almost blindfolded experience of communication through images translated into words and concepts. To make things easier to grasp, I believe your Substack blog is one of the most interesting and fortunate discoveries I've been lucky to encounter on the platform. Photography is meant to provoke, cover, explain and reject. We have to follow instructions and information in order to reach whichever finish line we choose. Thank you and let's hope our encounters can inspire others to join us.

Having abandoned Instagram and Facebook and moved my blog over to Substack I've been fortunate to discover some amazing people, sharing their thoughts about images (and other things). I'm very grateful for your trust as we embark on this adventure together. Despite the increasingly desperate political situation worldwide, I still believe in the power of words and pictures to make meaningful connections. Like you, I hope our experiences of space (experiența spațiului) will resonate with others, but I'm mainly excited to hear about what things look and feel like to you. J
